Flip Over Syndrome in duckling

I do not see any crusty bottom however she is not pooping (not really eating either other than a nibble or two when I try feeding her). I will call Metzer to see what they have to say.

I think that is a great idea please let me know what they say. Bless it's heart it needs to eat and poop 2 very important things in a ducklings life.

This is screaming Niacin deficiency all over it. Likely because they are using chick starter feed. I added nutritional yeast to both of their feeds but since this one isn't eating I am going to put a supplement into her water. Because she is still drinking. I'll let you know when Metzer replies.

Unfortunately she just passed away. She stopped moving and her head fell over. I picked her up and her heart was beating very fast and heavy. Then is began to slow to just one beat per second and then none at all. I do hope this was not anything my other ducks could catch but as of now they are doing fine.

I am so sorry to hear this but it didn't sound good for her. I would still call Metzers and talk to them about her just to ease your mind. I am just thinking though that she just wasn't thriving, maybe something genetic going on. Again I am very sorry.

Thank you so much for your help. I will continue putting some nutritional yeast in my other ducklings feed until they are old enough to eat a more diverse diet. This was not unexpected though. I was quite surprised when they all arrived in the mail alive. This little guy must have just lasted longer than expected. I'll let Metzer know.
