FLOAT test CONFUSION!!!

Poor Kwanza isn't happy, one of the other chicks keeps bullying him and he's wobbling all over the place because of his curled toe. He's sulking now and sleeping stood up, think he exhausted himself. :/ I'll pray he's better by morning...and until then - do splint research!

One of them looks like it needs a splint... I have no idea how to make one lol

Oh no! I hope it just needs to stretch out then be normal!

Hmm. Maybe seperate them? Poor lil guy.

I've put a couple more in with them and they have settled down a bit.. His leg keeps straightening every now and then on the non-slip matting I have down so I hope it fixes itself...he runs about a lot when they are straight.. So I think I will quit worrying so much and just wait for nature to take its course :)

Good to hear. It was prolly just soft and flimsy(sp?) being he just hatched. I am still patiently waiting on my eggs. Was so impatient that I went ahead and float tested one and I am happy to say that it was rocking happily in the water. So hurry and hatch! Lol

On another note, I stopped at my local feed store and the guy gave me an egg. One single egg to hatch. He said it was a serama egg. Yay! So the lil egg'y went into the bator when I hot home.

Aww that's great! Good luck with them too. :D
We now have one more that has just hatched and yesterdays guys have finally worked out that the food and water won't jump in to their mouthes... thank goodness! None of the other eggs seem to have done much since yesterday... Two popped yesterday morning...but nothing new.
kwanza was very happy to see me this morning too :)

Thanks for that! He doesn't have spraddle leg...just curled toes, but i will keep this for reference I saw a few ideas on them before but i never try something until i am 100% sure i know what i am doing. For now they are just walking on a mat...a bit like wire mesh but the guys toes are straightened out, i can't tell him apart from the rest now unless i pick him up...he doesn't jump off my hand he enjoys staying on it when i try let him hop off.

Just lost three....died hatching...i think i left it too long to help them, for one anyway, he was half way out...the other too barely pipped but it had been nearly 24 hours...i had to be sure...all three dead, two japanese, one english white it looked like :[

But i have 6...one has been drying for HOURS. how LONG SHOULD THIS TAKE? NORMALLY they stand after a couple...this one is still rolling around on it's back...not sure if i should...do something :/ It is loud and active but it just has no strength to stand...
