FLOAT test CONFUSION!!!

He's really good, his feet are normal again, and he's still very vocal.. Huge compared to the other chicks. We had a serious injury on one that hatched yesterday morning and sadly i had to put it down today :/

The poor guy couldn't stand, had damaged it's neck during hatching it seems. After 24 hours of watching him fight to stand i just couldn't bare to let it suffer anymore. He went nice and peacefully to sleep ):

Sad to see, but no more suffering. ...

We have one still trying to hatch, it's been SO long now (over 19 hours...) but because he is still kicking in there and seems really strong..i'm waiting to see how it goes.

Wow so much goin on with your batch. Sorry to hear about your losses. Am glad that kwanza is fine and singing along. Lol. Well mines that were due last night.... Well... Nothing! So I candled the air sack and wow! I saw their tiny lil beaks already had broken into the air sack and took their first breath of air. That was it though, no pipping or hatching. So after a restless night. I woke to see nothing still. So I candle again and still see them in the same position, poked through to the air sack just breathing there. So I googled online and read that they can breath in their (once in the air sack) for 48 hrs. So here we go, today should be the day!

Correction... The chick has 72 hours worth of air once broken into the air sack but normally hatches with in 24 hours once in the air sack. These are for chickens though?

I'm honestly not quote sure...the one I mentioned above is out of the air sack but the poor guy is still in his shell!

I thought it was about 24 hours, and thank you we've had quite a lot of problems so far and a few with the incubator which probably made things worse.

The tiny guy who was weak yesterday is no longer tiny, boiled egg seems to have fixed that! Little mite is nearly caught up to the rest in size now. Fingers crossed for you!

One of them had pipped, but from the pointed end?! Not the rounder end like it suppose to. It has been like that since last night. Seems like he's not rotating to do his zip?! Does he need assistance, cause he's at the wrong end?

Happy and excited to announce that all have hatched and are drying in the bator right now. One was faced the opposite direction and needed assistance due to not being able to zipp in that position.

Aww bless but that is great! Congrats! I thought the rest of mine weren't going to hatch and when I went down to feed these guys...found 17 newly hatched and two trying. Never expected this many at once. And I only left them 7 hours ago! Hope all your guys are doing well! :-D
