Floated incubated eggs, egg sank but moved

Yay, thankyou Lacrystol, I had 5 eggs in the incubator that my son had put in to 'keep them safe'. I worked out they were about 2 week in to incubation. Humidity had been held at 40% and misting daily. I ladi them in the centre of my incubator as it is autoturn and had chick eggs in too. I turned 3 times daily. These were unwashed also. I did not touch or take them out unless absolutely neccessary (no weighing this time as I know the setting get me to at least 10% weight loss). Did not move to hatching incubator as it vibrates a bit and chicks due around a similar time. increased humidity to 60% around 3 days from anticipated hatch. All ducklings hatched, alive and well......Thank goodness! I almost gave up as I did not want more ducklings dying in the shell. Thankyou so much for invaluable advice, and that of others too. Laying eggs down and leaving alone...... My duck is now sitting on about 20 eggs so will see how she goes.....loving the ducks, they are so cute!
