Floating island ideas

I built a floating island for the waterfowl to be protected from predators. And it has worked like a charm. It is made out of corrugated plastic drain pipe filled with plastic bottles from the recycling center and held together with heavy duty plastic hardware fencing material and zip ties.
I’ve decided to build a second larger floating island, and would like creative suggestions or designs that work for you.

We need pictures! I’ve been thinking about building one and actually have a spare dock float for this purpose, just haven’t gotten around to figuring it out.

Those are interesting. I actually have an island on my pond but the geese commandeer that during breeding season. I was actually thinking more about doing a 4 x 8 floating platform with a lean to type shelter to block the north winds and a ramp into the water for easy access. I'd like to put a feeder out there too.

This is exactly was I’m talking about. Our lake rises during heavy rains, so a long anchor rope or chain has to be used. So the island floats around when the water level is low. I’d secure a wind sock or sail to keep rain away from the shelter entrance.
