flock behaviour during the eclipse

Here in the UK we had a partial eclipse of the sun, it started here around 9am.

My normally quiet flock started making such a loud racket at about 5:30am, nothing would settle them.they wouldn't even eat. Suddenly all at once every single bird in my flock stopped yelling. Just like that, all at the same time. Each bird lay down and put thair heads under thair wings and stayed like that for hours. Then just as suddenly up they pop all happy and back to normal. So very odd.

Anyone else's flock act oddly during situations like this. I'd love to hear your storys
