Flock community rearing poults?

So I had a BR hen hatch three poults in January. I had pulled them off of her after a few weeks and put them into my brooder house with my chicks as they got larger. Last weekend I went ahead and turned them out with the flock. The two RP hens and the BR hen seem to be taking turns watching over the poults and showing them the ropes of being a turkey. Last night when I got home, one of the poults had settled himself under another one of my broody RP who is actually sitting on eggs.

Is this community poult rearing normal in turkeys? That is not his mama! His mama is red!
