Flock dinamics after ducklings arrive

I have 1 drake and 2 ducks. The ducks are sitting on eggs at the moment, im wondering when the ducklings arrive will the drake try to mate with them when they are older, is that normal. I would really love some advice from all you experienced duck lovers

I would take the drake out because he can kill the babies

Yes, you have to remove the drake while they grow up. You can rejoin them when they are 12 weeks old. The drake will mate all the girls, he does not care if they are his offspring. Their brain only works on way. Girls = big time fun.

will it matter if this seasons ducklings are mated by their father next mating season? that seems really yuck and wrong, or should i not allow that to happen, even get a different drake
