Flock Dynamics

Your girls are sooo pretty! The dynamics of my flock aren't nearly as exciting as yours. I only have three girls, and they all seem to get along quite well. I never witness any pecking or anything of that nature. Pork Chop definitely seems to be the leader, though. She always is the first one to go up into the coop to roost at night, but won't stay up there until she can get the other girls to go up with her. She'll go up the ramp and into the coop, poke her head out of the pop door and squawk at the other two, then come back down the ramp and do a quick lap around the run. Then it's back up the ramp and it starts all over again. She repeats this until the other girls follow her up into the coop. It's quite funny to watch! I can almost hear her saying "Come ON, you guys! It's time for bed!!"

Aw what breed is Pork Chop? Today everybody seemed to settle down and the integration is going wonderfully. Joon totally protects Munk from getting too bullied so that is good lol

Funny...My EE is on the bottom of the pecking order too. I think a leghorn hen is at the top of mine, until my roo remembers he's a roo even if he is 1/2 their size. My black star pullet is 2nd from last. She's 9 weeks old. My EE just plain doesn't care. She is the sweetest bird so far. I love cuddling with her!

Pork Chop is a black sex link. My other girls are Gertie, a red sex link, and Chick Pea, a buff orpington. They're the sweetest things.

I'm glad your girls are getting along well! It sounds like Joon and Munk are best buds.
