4.5
I enjoy spending time around my flock very much. They are very sweet and enjoy being around people. I have one or two that will jump on my lap but I’m not into cradling them in my arms or getting pooped on, so, yeah. 4.5. Like/love, not quite a pet bc I will eventually process them with age.

5.
I spend every free time I have with them and some days I'm with them for 6 to 7 hours while I do outdoor chores.

During every visit I do a observational examination and check there overall well being. So I can catch anything that might develop into a problem. I do love my chickens though.

Definitely a 4 here.
I love spending some time with them, even the cockerels that will become dinner. I enjoy there colours, sounds and personality's, but I don't cuddle them and try not to get to attached.
Having said that, I did cry when I had to put down one of my hens, but over all I'm a 4.

4 I very much enjoy them, but I have other animals and some humans to tend to. I do go out and spend time every day, sometimes just to sit and hang out with them for a while, other times I’m doing chores but they always come to “help” me.

My girls are pure pets. I'm constantly entertained and amazed at their intelligence, silliness and in some instances their care for each other. Despite the deep sadness I feel each time I lose one, seems that so far I haven't been able to say "No more chickens for me!" but I'm sure that day will come. Until then, I do my best to give them a safe, comfortable home.
