Flock for Adoption near Hagerstown, MD

I kept 7 hens from all the 2021-22 chicks I raised ( 2 Dominique's, 2 Black Australorps, a Barred Rock,a SL Wyandotte and a Sapphire Gem.) and 7 chicks from my 2023 order (a Cream Legbar rooster ,4 Brown Leghorns and 2 Welsummers)
I had a hen only flock before adding 2 cockerels last year. It wasn't a picnic raising them but I got a good one out of the two. I rehomed the other boy
@McChooky please don’t think I’m trying to be rude, I don’t know how else to ask. But…I’m not quite sure why you’re telling me all this?

Updated picture of Liberty for attention :)

We are moving (long term temporarily) due to mold and water leakage in the house. The sooner I can rehome everybody, the better. I wish I could keep them, but it’s just too difficult in my current circumstances. I can drive up to a five hour radius of Hagerstown, Maryland as of now.

I wish I could take this beautiful rooster and your older hens but I don't have an extra coop for him . I could add the girls to my flock after integrating them but I also live at least 4 hrs away...

I'm sorry you're having to leave your home and give up your birds .
If I can do anything to help please let me know.Maybe I could keep some here if you have any small coops? A run wouldn't be too difficult to build before cold weather hits .

Thank you for the offer to help! I could bring them over to you, that wouldn't be a problem. But I don't want to be causing trouble for anyone!

I do have a small coop, it's the Producer Pride Sentinel with a 24sq. ft. run attached (that I built). But it would only fit three birds.

For various reasons, my time of keeping chickens is coming to an end. I am putting my birds out there to see if there’s any interest (there are seventeen of them, so this is a really long post!).

They are grouped according to who gets along, so if you should be interested in a particular bird, please know you have to take its whole group as well.

These are my pets, so I would like them to be adopted by someone who will love and care for them. Please PM me if you want prices or more information :). I am located near Hagerstown, Maryland but will travel up to a couple hours if I can make sure they will have a good home. I also have ducks and a turkey, which are listed here.

Old Maids - These hens are 2.5 years old. Only Lydwinne is laying. Winston is human aggressive but good with his hens. I doubt anyone will want this group but I'm putting them out there just in case.

Biddies - Jenny is a year old, Dolores and Viv will be a year in November, and Patience is about five months.
Jenny has successfully brooded two chicks; one of them, Liberty, is fifteen weeks old as of 15 September 2024 and will be included in the group. He is a mixed breed, a momma's boy and rarely crows. He has never tried to mate and is very skittish.
The four hens are very sweet, especially Patience, and would do well for a family with children. They are fairly good layers.

The Virtues - This group is made up of three Mottled Javas and Honor, the other chick hatched by Jenny. Despite the name of their flock, the Virtues are anything but...they run around the yard like little bandits. They are very skittish and I was only able to get a decent picture of Charity. They are about five months old and are laying with more or less regularity. Honor is fifteen weeks and very skittish, but he is crowing and mating.

The Lucy Show - This subflock is named for its most animated member, a Naked Neck named Lucy. She loves to "help" you garden and do other chores around the yard. She and her sister Lily are about 1.5 years old. They lay regularly. There is also Wilhelmina, aged 2.5 years, and Stanislaw, unknown age. He was a rescue. He is a very good rooster, rather skittish, but not aggressive at all.

Thank you so much!

These birds pictured are his coop mates, but there’s still ten other hens…did you want/have the room for those as well?

Patience (the Buff Brahma) is the sweetest thing. I really wish I could keep her!
Dolores (Australorp) is skittish but she gets along well with Patience.
Vivienne (Buff Orpington) is sassy and can be very loud!
