Flock just standing in the pouring rain....

If they have the ability to choose wet or dry, shelter or exposure, and they choose to go out in the rain then they're almost certainly fine.

Mine got themselves apparently soaked in a 40F rain last winter and, though they complained that I hadn't arranged for better weather, they were fine.

My roosters prefer the wet to confinement, too. I had to put them in "Chicken Jail" tonight to protect them from the wave of storms heading ou way tonight. Apparently it's a real humdinger! Schools even closed early ... that's a first for us!
My coop and run is/was a two-level playhouse/sandbox work-in-progress. It used to be divided, with the main flock upstairs in the big cabin and the Bachelor Pad down below. My latest project was to open everything up into one unit. The lady-birds love the free access, going all over the set-up, but The Boys stay outside in what used to be their man-cave. They're there no matter the weather - bitter cold, pouring rain, winds, wet snow. They're just too stubbornly attached and too hard-headed to go upstairs where protection, the better feeders ... and the LADIES ... live.
So, now that I've finished battening down the hatches, I have three very unhappy fellows. I moved them upstairs with The Girls and blocked access to the old sandbox area ... which will be a pond by morning. It will drain and dry out quickly; it always does; but until we get proper swimming lessons, I'd just as soon keep The Boys out of "the deep end!"
