Wow! Cool! Has it gone unused for a couple of years before? Or has it always been in use and THAT many chickens have used it?

Yes, it went unused for 35-40 years, until spring 2014 when my flock moved into it. Two of the back logs have some water damage from the roof leaking, but it's not to bad. The foundation has shifted and cracked a bit, so after I replace the front window I hope to fix the cracks in the foundation. Surprisingly the cement floor has only about two cracks.

i finished this yesterday! its NOT an entry!




was built out of a swing set!

I've been wanting to see a swing set converted to a chicken pen. I thought it was a great idea and nice to see someone converted one. Are the egg nests in there somewhere? A pic would be nice to see if you put one in.

Pretty cool lol! no there is not any nesting boxes in there we just plan on buying some to save time but i do have a picture of the coop part

The uneven tin isn't even noticeable unless you point it out. From experience I can suggest that the chicken wire floor will uncurl/separate from itself and you might need to get a chainlink panel or gate or a dog kennel wire panel for the upper floor. The weak poultry chicken wire sags and unravels from itself and might cut into the chickens' feet. The chicken wire won't support nestboxes. I love the idea you came up with for the design. I personally just don't care for using poultry chicken wire after dogs messed with my first little coop 5 yrs ago and mangled the poultry chicken wire beyond repair. Because of $$$ it took us 5 yrs to save up finally for a heavy-duty coop design.

This is what we had to use as a heavy duty upper floor for our coop so the thicker wire can't hurt the delicate bouncing chicken feet pads:
