It is with great sadness that I am listing my backyard flock for sale. I have developed some serious respiratory issues, and the doctor has advised I eliminate my chickens in an effort to isolate potential triggers for my illness. The Buff Orp hens are 18 months old, and have been laying since August - we get anywhere from 4-6 eggs per day. They are all healthy, with no apparent health problems, parasites, etc. They all eat Layena crumbles. They have free ranged in our suburban backyard since they were six weeks old. They are very friendly, and will happily follow you around the yard and eat from your hand. They have never shown aggression to my small children. All my chickens were purchased from a local feed store; I believe they came from Ideal Hatchery. I am in St. Tammany Parish in Louisiana - I will not ship my birds so please don't ask. I would greatly prefer that they all go together.
