Change the weather
I mean change the weather in the scene you are stuck in.Like do you mean just... changing it up and going to a different part of the story?
I mean change the weather in the scene you are stuck in.
For example
I got really really stuck during the first chapter or so of my current draft.
So I made it rain instead.
Was I going to have it be clear so that I could get a sunset scene in? Yeah. But it didn’t work out.
With the new weather type I was able to paint more imagery because rain goes with clouds, angry sky, pounding on the roof, thunder if you want, etc.
And it paired well with the emotional tension between the main character and main supporting character. An emotional storm that I leaned into more after writing the physical storm because it switched on all the right things in my brain to make that sort of thing happen.
Usually whenever I get stuck, it's because I either (a) have too many ideas as to what happens next, or (b) don't have a single clue as to what happens next.I am stuck in myone, with the prologue I shared.
This is legit advice!Okay
