Flock Raiser ASAP

Clearly your answer is yes, you can feed that. Try and remember that people don't live here in line, you have to give answers time. If you need more information on something. like angel wing use the search feature or google on the upper right and you will find many threads that have already discussed this.

Flock Raiser has worked for my ducks. They do enjoy/need things like grass and bugs though in addition. They get those things by free ranging or if that is not possible in your case, take it to them. Cut grass or just give them the lawn clippings (no chemicals). A night light near where they spend their nights will bring the bugs to them. Some grit to help break down the grass and bugs. Scraps from your garden and kitchen make a nice addition to their diet also.

That said, flock raiser is now different than it was. Land of Lakes bought Purina and flock raise looks and smells different. It absorbs water different also. This happened only a month or so ago, so I am not sure if it will be good or bad, but it is different.

Layena is marketed for chickens yes, but it used for all laying poultry. It contains a lower protein (16%) and higher calcium content (to make harder shells). After they start to lay they stop growing as fast and don't need all that protein. Here is the nutrition from purina

As far as Angel wing. It is when the tips of the wings turn out due to the weight of the growing flight feathers usually attributed to poor nutrition. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angel_Wing

I use Flock Raiser with my ducks and they have done great. The info I got with my ducklings from Holderread's stated that if you could not get duck starter then to use Flock Raiser. I figure if they recommend it then it must be good.
