I'm raising my chicks and 2 ducks together and I'm realllly getting tired of adding brewers yeast to the feeders. I'm going through too much, not because of the two ducks...but because they are in with 16 chicks and I am feeding out of two feeders. I'm just spending too much on brewers yeast and was thinking about switching to Purina flock raiser crumbles instead to avoid having to use brewers yeast.

It should be fine if they are standard ducks. Jumbo Pekin will still need a bit more.

I have good result with the flock raiser. :)
Yup, I use flock raiser when I raise ducklings, it’s a lot easier then measuring out how much vitamin b or brewers yeast to add. Plus it worries me a lot less!
I agree.

We found brewers yeast 5 pounds for 24 dollars on Amazon. Right now we are using it instead of high dollar joint supplements for our old Lab with good results. It’s just our way but we kept giving it to ducklings even after switching to flock raiser.

I got my ducks from a local farm store... I'm pretty sure they are the standard pekins and not the jumbo but I can find out.

Thanks I'll check that out!! I don't mind keeping up with the brewers yeast if it doesn't break the bank. The stuff I've been buying is $13 for 16 oz.
Also If I switch to flock raiser... should I do it slowly over time?
