Flock Raiser?

Thanks for the replies, my cousin is the store manager at our local TSC. Next time I'm in there and I see him I'll see if he can look into getting the FlockRaiser pellets! I'm confident now that it will be the best feed for my diverse flock!

Yes! Flock Raiser comes in pellets. However the pellets are not available at TSC, least ways not at mine.

Protien level is 20% on Purina Flock Raiser.

Currently I am feed ing a 50/50 blend of Layenna pellets and Flock Raiser crumbles, not ideal but it seems to work out. Also I supplement by adding 1 tbl of oyster shell to feed blend daily. Maybe the oyster shell is not needed, but it makes me feel good, and I have good egg shells.

I do mix mine with that too! Crumbles only. And got good egg shells and yolk colors as well. Their feathers are more glossier and the well being of the flock is pretty good!

I cant say that I have used "Flock Raiser" but I have used products similar to it, like Kent Feeds "Home Fresh Multi-Flock" (18%) and "Home Fresh 27 Poultry" (27%) Buckeye Feeds "Big 4"
Kalmbach Feeds 1044.
From what I can tell you do get bigger egg than if you use say a 16% protein feed. I all so believe that the molting don't last as long. Out of the 4 kinds I did use I will say that the Buckeye "Big 4" was the best...
