Flock with a cold that doesn't seem to bother them - treat it?

Scott, the problem with all these diseases is that they have similar symptoms and most are carrier diseases. All of them usually respond to similar antibiotics, at least to relieve the symptoms and prevent secondary infections while their resistance is low.

Update: I ordered Oxine AH via an Amazon.com seller in Iowa (I'm on the West coast, so it's a bit of a delay). By the 18th, the gaping had stopped, but some chickens remained with the other symptoms. Still no sign of any discomfort in the chickens so I did noting but wait. The Oxine arrived Wed and I used my ultrasonic humidifier to fog them for 45 minutes in thier coop (6.5 oz in a gallon of water) on Wednesday night and Thursday night and for a half hour tonight (Saturday). Their symptoms have subsided remarkably - just a few coughs here and there, which is why I skipped a day. I plan to do a half hour every other day until it's completely gone. Also I have put the Oxine in their water (the bottle is labeled for this - unactivated put 1 mL per gallon of water).

Curiously in my research, nowhere does anyone say how long to fog for. I gather they just walk up and down the coop with a fogger once or twice and that's it. My coop is small and the humidifier fills it to the brim in a few minutes with fog, but I let it go for a while for extra good measure and the chickens did not seem to mind.

Hello:

If you look at my threads about my Game rooster, you will see I too am having a time of it. I do have a question for you all. What does the smell of Coryza like ?? My ROO had thick, yellow, stringy, caked on snot coming out of his nostrils. It was darn near frightining to see.

I have another game rooster, but he is not a full fledged one. He is still young and has yellow legs.
He had this croop for a day and went on without a hitch. None of the other birds were nearly as bad as the game roo. I have read that Game roosters and some game hens are much more susceptible to diseases.

I am stepping up my incubation with the game hens eggs. I hope to get a few roosters out of them before something horrid happens.

A really nice game rooster went through a local sale a few weeks ago. I passed, becuase they tend to kill one another. Also, this guy will let you pick him up anytime and he really is a sweetheart.
I raised him from my incubator.

vit A deficiency often goes hand in hand with respiratory symptoms that you are describing... )the other disease you mentioned like ILT are vERY serious and often with some amount of mortality... even IB would present with more serious symptoms than you have mentioned here)
Give Polyvisol Enfamil formulation three drops in beak once a day for a week then taper off the next week (this is a childrens liquid A B D3 supplement) to address any possible deficiency and have a think on the possibility of gapeworms.
