Flock with respiratory illness plus new babies

I have a flock that is currently being treated for respiratory illness that were once free range but are now in a very large fence. I took a few to the vet yesterday and have tylan powder on order for the whole flock that will be in either Sat or Monday. I also have new baby chicks that are being kept in a separate pen what do I need to do to make sure that the babies do not get sick. I am most concerned about them coming into contact with ground that the older flock was once on.

Welcome to BYC. Did you vet diagnose the respiratory illness? MG, infectious bronchitis, coryza, and ILT are some of the ones that may be seen. MG and IB are more common in backyard flocks. most respiratory bugs only last a few days in the environment and on equipment. But most chickens exposed to them can remain carriers. No specific diagnosis I have the two flocks in separate pens around a 100 yards apart and do not plan on merging the two flocks.

I have a respiratory illness in my flock too. Been giving them antibiotics. My question is: if my chickens have Coryza...could they give it to my parrots? Ive been reading that its chicken only, but I'm so paranoid this past week with it. They walk around and breathe completely fine like they're not sick. They just smell like rotting meat and sneeze a lot.
