I've searched through threads and found a few about a single hen hanging out in the coop a lot, but all six of my chickens hang out primarily inside the coop all day. They do come out off and on to eat and drink, but for the most part, they hang out on the roosting limbs in the coop. We don't have any roosters, they have a covered run with plenty of shade but also sunny spots, our temperature here has been in the 60s and 70s and I've not seen any signs of illness such as diarrhea, our layers are still laying, (four haven't even started yet,) etc.
It's a little funny because when I come outside, the two older hens come out of the coop to "chat" and the younger four will also come out, but as soon as I go back inside, they all single file back inside the coop.
Any suggestions?
