They are still setting this morning so it seems that we did the right thing. I hope that the water didn't damage the eggs.

The rains stopped before bedtime so there was no need to signal to the smugglers. All is well this morning. The flock has been chasing after one that had a small crab shell and was trying to swallow it. We put a stop to that before he succeeded.

What a great life these birds have! There's more food than they know what to do with and their homes are cleaned daily as they enjoy themselves doing whatever comes naturally. They are now cheeky enough to come to us demanding their periodic treat of bananas. They even have servants who will carry them knee deep across a flood to safety and let them poop all over the garden furniture when they get there. It will soon be time to write out an invoice.
