Flooring options using roofing tar

I am thinking of using blackjack or something similiar and planning to use sand on top for the flooring. Will the sand stick to the tar and gum up or will it work ok as a floor cover over the tar?

The BJ #57 dries solid. Nothing should stick to it once it's dry and cured for a couple of days. We have it in our coop and it's worked perfectly. Regular tar will remain tacky. Use the BJ 57 and you should be fine.
