Hey y’all. My coop arrived and we’re super excited. My question is about flooring. We sealed the floor since it was untreated wood. Is it necessary to put vinyl flooring down? From what we’ve researched it says it needs to be in a temperature controlled environment which Illinois is not lol! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Your coop looks beautiful! I put vinyl flooring down in my coop because I did not want the plywood underneath to get damp from droppings. It just makes it super easy to keep clean and sanitary.

Not necessary, but nice to protect wood.
Have had it on my coop floor and poop boards for 5 years and I love it.

Don't skimp tho get good vinyl, it should be fine.
I tested by bending back corners til I found one that didn't crack.
