Floorless chicken coops and damp ?

I have a bare dirt floor but I scoop poop every morning so the dirt stays nice enough to take dust baths in. I feed them in a different spot to avoid mess,and I did have to add gutters with an extra long downspout due to ending up with puddles inside. my birds also have access full time to a large run. bare dirt has been great but if they were confined in there I would use something else.

I had 1 dirt floor pen and it worked ok, but it was really hard to clean and it did stay wet a lot in the winter. I used hay on the ground, that helped some.
