Hi everyone! I'm relatively new to the world of chickens and I just have to inquire about their combs that are flopped over one day, standing up the next day is this normal? I have been reading other threads where the appearance of the comb can be an indicator of health issues. I have a white leghorn, a NH red, and I can't remember off of the top of my head if its the Barred Rock or the Cuckoo Marans (or both) with floppy combs. Some days, especially the leghorn, the comb is upright. My girls all seem very happy, all come charging at me when they see me and begging for treats, all are eating well both free range and in the coop, and 4 of the 6 are laying, the other two should be laying any day now (they were born on April 16th). Are the floppy/stiff combs something I should be worrying about? Thank you for reading my post and offering any input! :)
