It is just a scratch on the face of the earth and a truely wonderful place to live. We moved up here from West Palm Beach 5 years ago and it was the best decision I have ever made for my kids and myself. Do you breed chickens or just keep for what you need to sell eggs? I have read your story and think it is wonderful.

I aspire to move to Luraville one day.... an even smaller scratch 20 miles south of Live Oak!!! I've had property there for 5 years now and I look forward to each and every trip up there. It is my hideout, no land line, no TV

Welcome to the Florida thread Rich386. Cute kids! Nice to see they are part of the action. I'm over here in Lake Helen. I wanted to take a moment and post some pics from my 4 month old babies and their first days out of their coup. They are loving life in my backyard. My yard is totally enclosed in the back so the only thing I really keep an eye on is the hawk that was born and raised in my yard. Other than squawking he/she has never come in for a landing in the yard since the girls have been out running around. I'm not worried about other little animals either and my cat seems to get along with them fine. Hope the back yard continues blissful.

I was born and raised in Gadsden/ Leon county myself but have been through live oak on occasion. Dad used to live there many years ago.It seems like a peaceful nice place to live.
