These are babies that hatched 6 and 12 days ago. Their first day out for air.

Funny funny. We made up these pens for chicks because the material is rubberized fencing and the chicks can't get hurt by it. Have you some chicken wire that doesn't work and the heavier gauge is hard to work with so we put these together in about an hour and a half with PVC pretty cheap too. We can put them all over the yard if we want to in different areas and don't have to worry about the predators which we have many of the ranch. We have larger pens for the ones that we keep for breeding and use a shade cloth over the top of 1/2 x 3 heavy gauge wire .
