FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Farm Swap at the Crystal River Mall the 4th Saturday
Monthly. Next swap Saturday June 28th, from 9am to
2pm. 1801 NW US Hwy.19, Crystal River, FL 34428, Next to
Office Max & Hwy 19. There are no fees to set up outside in
the parking lot area next to Office Max and the main mall
entrance in the parking area next to Hwy 19.If you are just
thinking about chickens or small livestock or already have an
established flock or small holding, then you won't want to miss
this event on the 4th Saturday monthly. Come join us for a day
of talking, swapping and selling poultry and small livestock.
Meet the locals. Swap stories and information on the care and
raising of your flock and small holdings. Buy/Sell/Trade
anything and everything to do with poultry and small livestock.
We usually have various breeds and ages of poultry, rabbits,
goats and sometimes piglets. There will be cages and crafts as
well as new poultry and livestock products at great prices.

How many people go to this swap meet? It is a long drive for me to get there to only find a few vendors.

We don't have a lot of vendors yet but this is a fairly new swap. The picture on the flyer is of our swap meet. We have a lot of buyers and people coming by to see what we have. There is a new farm store (Rural King) going in at the mall where Sears used to be. I believe they are opening around the 1st of August with their Grand Opening around August 17th. They are right across the parking lot from where we hold the swap meet. The manager seems to be interested and supportive of our swap, so I think we can hand out flyers to the customers when the store opens. We have to meet with the store manager but this is according to the mall manager. We were in competition with the Homosassa Tractor Supply but they have changed their swap meet to the 3rd Saturday Monthly.

It sounds like fun! I'm an hour north. I have no room at home to buy more chicks, and none to sell, but I'm all up for chewing the fat and leaning from those with expertise! I just might pop down there! The drive down 19 is an easy one!

We do have some regulars but need more. One of vendors wrote a book which is a good all around guide on raising poultry with a wealth of information that is being published right now. I used to drive over to a swap in Jacksonville which is a 2 hr drive, but with the price of gas now haven't done the drive in quite awhile. Now I just do a couple of local swaps monthly. One of our other swaps is at the Dunnellon Tractor Supply Company. We have been doing that one for a few years now so it is a good swap.

Hi all,

I have 2 handsome young Bantam Salmon Favorelle cockerels. They are 16 weeks.

I would like to place them with 4H or FFA members. I think they are SQ. I cannot ship, so they must be picked up. I am in Central Florida, just north of Orlando.
