Awwww a little love nest!Yep! I wrote you back. We will have to build one, I showed Kevin and he said they don't look hard
Perhaps we can make a bigger version for Princess and her new man!
My roosters always crowed all day and all night. Even when I bring them in during a "cold snap" in South Florida, they crow in their cat carrier . . . I like it, hubby not so much.In response to the lady in Titusville who said her rooster crows after sunup, my Black Australorp crows off and on during the day. I kinda thought that was normal.
I'll say one thing for you..... you are easily entertained. LOL Sounds like something I would do. I once played Cornell University bird call recordings to wild birds to see if they would answer. That was before I discovered the wonderful world of chickens. Our roosters crow all the time. From sun up to sun down and beyond. Theyll crow at 12 am if they hear something or sometimes during the day just to show off I think lol!
I will go in there and crow at them and they always crow back. Having 28 acres makes you do odd things I guess. No neighbors to worry about. Chickens probably think I'm nuts though.
When we first got chickens I would go into the coop and play YouTube videos of roosters crowing and see their reactions.
Typing all this out makes me realize I need some new hobbies.

Now I know I am where I belong. ; ) I hoot to the owls, cluck to my chickens, whinny to my horses and howl to my dogs, meow to my cats, and talk to my African Grey parrot who actually does talk back. I am going to have to try the YouTube videos . . .I'll say one thing for you..... you are easily entertained. LOL Sounds like something I would do.
