FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

My friend gave me a huge hersheys kiss for christmas and i melted the bottom part of the chocolate and added in a little bit of honey and pumpkin pie spice (just experimenting with it) and I put it on a piece of toast and it literally tastes like heaven on toast! Its amazing!

Have a question about Permits.. Looking up ordinances and it seems in Florida we have to have a permit to own ducks? Has anyone ran into this or have had issues with the permit?
First i have herd of this??
I could see for migratory breeds maybe but not for demestacated.
Gonna have to look into that..

Yes that is where i seen the permits at.. I have a domesticated mallard, I believe you do not need permits for domesticated. I just happen to have 1 pekin, 2 Swedish, 1 mallard and 1 Muscovy. Might need a permit if i sell any babies if mine ever lay any eggs. Not sure how that works yet but will be another bridge I guess to look into.

I believe if it is true mallad is when you would need a permit. The domesticated mallard is a rouen, i have the exact same amount and totals(1 Pekin, 2 Swedish and 1 Rouen) as you other then the Muscovy.
In my mind i would think if they are true(flying/wild) breed you need a permit, seeing as all migratory birds(and hawks and owls) are under they the federal law.
If you find some other information on it please share i will look into it more, curious to see what comes up.

You got me curious on this now!!
I keep getting conflicting answers on FWC.
I found this just now..
"Most waterfowl species, other than Pekin ducks, are protected by federal law under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. No federal permits are needed to buy or keep captive-reared waterfowl, but the protected species and any of their resulting offspring must be properly marked as captive reared (50 CFR 21.13 and 50 CFR 21.14). Proper marking consists of at least one of the following: removal of right hind toe; pinioning; banding with a seamless, metal leg band; or tattooing the web of the foot. Federal law (50 CFR 21.14) also requires you to obtain a copy of Form 3-186, Notice of Waterfowl Sale or Transfer, from the person from whom you are buying the federally protected species. You should keep this form on file as long as you possess the birds or their eggs or offspring."

The thing is I have bought ducks from 2 different breeders, and neither of them have any ducks with tattoos, bands, etc. So I am confused as can be. And if i was to start showing ducks, wouldn't missing a toe be frowned upon?

Totally agree all the way around. I have seen multiple farms with non of these on their ducks... and yes a missing toe would definitely no make the cut. And i dont think tattoos would be as popular in ducks as it is in people lol
May have to call FWC office and find out, stating if you wanted to buy one what would you have to do or if there was anything...
Because their site is confusing with their information on the owning part.
