That is awesome! Definitely get that in writing from the doctor's office. Sounds like you have a decent physician. You can't be the only one in that city that wants / needs chickens. It's not like you're going to have a huge flock. Three or four is all you would need. Any more than that and they might question your "ability" to care for them.
Be prepared to invest time and effort. Things seem to move slow down here. Good luck. Keep us posted on your progress. I'm interested to learn how it turns out.

Thank you. I've looked at their website, I might consider if we decide to get more baby chicks, but I have ordered my 6 and am looking forward to their arrival in late summer due to the high demand. But that is a good thing and we just finished building our garden and now have time to put the chicken coop and run together..

I'm a newbie to chickens and am just starting out. I have just relocated to Central Florida; Greenwood, FL to be more specific. I love it here, very small town and country living. I am looking to start getting baby chicks for eggs only. Does anyone know of a hatchery in this area?

Very nice small town area . I’m Born and raised planted here . What kind of Birds are you looking for I have Orpingtons, ISA Browns , sapphire gems , Hampbar for egg layers .

I'm sorry you lost your job and now have to give up your chickens. Had we not just purchased 3 pullets a month ago, I would buy your babies. I'm so sorry. I will keep my ears open for anyone that is looking for chickens. I wish you the best of luck with everything.
