FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Hey does anyone know the laws concerning unicorporated zones? The place im at now is unincorporated, it's right in between Juno Beach and North Palm Beach. It's still Palm Beach County but it's not apart of any city. Ive called the police and animal control and asked them but neither one knows. As far as I know live stock isnt allowed in city limits, but since this isn't part of a city they should be ok here, right?

My chickens are already settled in here, but just in case someone tries to complain or starts asking questions I want to be able to know for sure if my chickens are legal or not. My roo has been crowing a little extra since we got here (not sure why) so I'm afraid one of the neighbors might complain. No one has said anything yet but I saw animal control drive through yesterday and got nervous.

My whole flock has fowl pox (dry) so it would be impossible for me to rehome any of them right now if I had to.

Nava: no luck on the mangoes yet, sorry.

Anyone else happen to have any coco plums? I want the black and the white ones. I don't know when they fruit around here but I want to grow some. Thanks!

OK, so, bad news. My rooster has to go

Is there anyone out there that would like a FREE phoenix mix rooster and his hen (they are a started pair). He is a beautiful rooster and still young and has protected my flock well. Hes very FAT and gentle but will run from you until he gets to know you. His girl is very shy and doesnt like to go near you or be held. They were free range when I got them but I have kept them in a pen and they have done well. If anyone is interested in giving them a good home (not for food) please contact me! He has to go ASAP!

Also, as a side note, some of my flock has shown symptoms of dry fowl pox. The roo and hen show no signs or symptoms but may still be carriers. Whoever takes them may want to keep them isolated from the rest of your flock fr a little while.

THANKS!

My first time posting in the Florida thread. I was hoping to find somebody in the Tampa/Odessa/maybe Brooksville area who can help me out. During the school year all my chickens and turkeys are kept at my highschool's landlab, but we have to take them home for the summer and now I'm having a bit of a problem with some of my roos crowing at early hours of the morning. The neighbors haven't said anything to me yet, but my mom wants the roos gone before they do. There are four roos, three bantams(Old English, Sussex, and Silkie) and one standard(Barred Rock). I was wondering if there was anybody who might be able to board them for me for the summer or somebody who knows of a place who might?

Ang, look for local farms in your area and contact them. If you offer to volunteer and help out there many are very willing to help with 4-H projects and such. They may hold your chickens for you for the summer.

I'm in Keystone Heights so add me in! I sell Large fowl Brahma hatching eggs, occasionally a chick or two, and White Orpington hatching eggs. I have light, buff, and dark brahmas. Right now I have several dark brahma cockerels that will be searching for a new home if anyone is interested.

Local Floridians help a fellow out... he is searching for Barred Rocks and Buff Rocks. As you can tell by my signature I don't carry this line but told him I would search diligently to find him some chickens. He wants five pullets of each variety. Anybody got any?

Hello, Larry here, in Frostproof, Southern Polk County - definitely Central FL.
I'm raising guinea fowl right now, hatched 27, they're 12 weeks old. Have a few French, chocolates, lavenders, and pieds in several colors.

Hi
big_smile.png
My name is Debbie, I'm in south Sarasota County.
We started out with 6 unknown chicks... they have grown into 5 white leghorn roos and one white leghorn hen

leave it to my luck to have that ratio. Anyway, we found a home for one roo, lost 2 others to a bobcat and now have 2 roos and a hen.

I am looking for a home for the roos, and I'm also looking for a few more hens.
Here is a picture of the roos, PM if interested! They are about 12 weeks old.

*edited to add... please excuse their muddy heads, lol. They love plaing in their 'creek' (the hose running on the ground, lol) when it's hot!
