FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Mathace, LoL I know Jess's space restrictions and how much she LOVES hatching. That girl needs some land so she can mini farm for sure.

Skies were pink and red this morning

LOL YES YES YES I need a FARM!!! Some day.. some day ;) I DO love hatching and would REALLY love to do what you do which is hatch, raise AND breed.. but, that will have to wait. I have a variety of Giant/Standard Cochins (Lemon Blue, Barred, Silver and Gold Laced) going in this week as well as some SQ Jersey Giants and a big group of barnyard mix of all kids of different breeds. Everyone always comments on my beautiful mixed girls and I got these pretty cheap so it will be fun to see what comes out.

You know what they say... Red skies in the morning, sailor take warning... Everyone prepare for a fun day of rain!!

Wow, Shellie, your hatches sound awesome. If you and your son keep that up you will be in big time business of cute baby chicks.

Jess, though you were going to start going towards bantams due to space limitations, now you want Emus. Silly girl. You have to win the lottery and buy a huge farm. By the way Emus can be mean. A few years ago, one escaped near my Mom and was chasing and kicking at people. Got so bad my stepdad and their neighbor went Emu hunting..............

Nah.. I don't "want" emu... just wanted to hatch one.. but it's ok. I will live ;)

Very dreary here, but still no rain............anyone want to join me in a rain dance. I wanna play in the rain and so do my feathered friends. They love to play in light rain.

Jess have you thought about Guineas? My "nanny" had them when I was growing up they were lots of fun and yummy little eggs. Also very protective of her chickens, ate lots of bad bugs. Wish my yard big enough, I would add a couple to my tiny flock.

I have heard that guineas are quite noisy.. I think they are cute but can't have anything too loud where I am. Neighbors might complain ;)

Hello! My name is Hanna and I live in the suburbs of Orlando. I have a red turken hen, a buff bantam brahma hen, and a dark brahma cockerel.

It looks like you have a contest? I'll guess February 16th.

I'm so surprised by how many Floridians there are here!

Some of us are just getting into NN, mostly thanks to Nava, who chairs this thread.
