FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Well I have been really busy here since the swap which was great BTW would have been nice if more people stuck around but whatever....
I have new puppies as of very early Tuesday morning my CH Australian Cattle dog had 3 males and 2 female puppies . Then a day early I started having chicks hatch in the incubator. Stans eggs have done very well considering this was my first time and my incubator decided to cook them at over 102 degrees a week from hatching. I have at least 9 from the 13 eggs that were viable last week when I candled, here are some pics, the yellow is a delaware and the others are Blue Rocks, Olive eggers and Blue plash rocks I think, I just can't recall at the moment! But too cute!
Wow, I feel like a proud grandpa! You got a good mix there. I just hatched my last bunch of barred rocks till fall and am going to start on the blue rocks. I have a splash from Halo to put with my Good Shepherd hens. That should produce all blue sex links. Hope I can post pics in about 4-5 weeks. ....stan

They are really pretty chicks, even the one little guy who I had to wash off after he hatched because he was so sticky and his foot was curled under is up and eating this morning and his foot is nearly normal now! Thanks Stan!

Watch the Polish close. You will have to separate them when the others start to pull out the top knots, and they will! I guess they look like a worm or something, but the other chicks will keep the Polish's heads bloody. .....stan
Well that's just gross, I was really weirded out about the knob on the head when they hatched, when the first one came out I thought it was deformed once it dried I realized that was just the way they look !

Hey Central FL Peeps!

Anybody interested in getting some custom milled feed? I'm looking at whole grains, no soy, no animal fat, no fish meal, no meat & bone or blood meal & less corn. I found a place that can make up a mix of alfalfa & several whole grains but the minimum is 300#. Right now I can only use 150# reasonably.

If you are interested in joining me or if you have another better source please let me know! I'm in Sanford, btw.

I'm interested. I live near 415 north of Sanford, just east of Deltona. I have not been able to find a feed store in my area that sells Organic chicken feed.
