Hi. I'm in St. Johns and I troll this thread looking for other FLoridians local to me. I've just gotten started with a Rhode Island, a New Hampshire and a Barred this weekend after Thanksgiving. No eggs yet. Just got a laying mash yesterday and maybe that will do the trick.

Hey Kwol,
Glad you quit trolling and started posting!! How old are your birds, are they young and never laid, or older hens coming out of molt? Reason I ask is because if they are young, you don't want to give them layer's mash till they start to lay, or are very close. There is so much calcium in layer's mash that it can cause problems in young pullets when they do start to lay. They are better on a higher protien grower feed till they need that calcium to produce egg shells. Glad you are posting! .......stan

Stan has absolutely beautiful birds. They are high quality rocks, not the type you find in the feed store or from a hatchery. I have bought from him and mine are absolutely gorgeous and very healthy.
