FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Welcome I am a newbie to this group as well, live in Orange Park, so we are neighbors. What kind of chickens do you have?

we live off of Collins road between Roosevelt and Blanding. Our property backs up to a lot of woods then a small river so we are being bad and sneaking them in. Where are you? It would be kinda neat to get a bbq organized :)

Located in Lake City. I have several breeds of bantams as in dutch, seAbrights, seramas, wc blk polish, blk tail japs and a few other breeds in bantams. In large birds I have white leghorns, buff orpingtons, speckled sussex, delaware, exchequer leghorns, polish and other breeds of large birds. I have ducks, geese, royal palm turkeys, guineas and a few other type birds

Someone suggested it might be best for me to post this in here, so, I was wondering if anyone knows of a feed store or somewhere that has Permaguard DE for a good price? I'm around Jacksonville, Florida.

Websites where it is a good price are welcome too.

Thanks :)

Found this through a google search:

Also, not sure if you are set on Permaguard, but they have another brand at Tractor Supply.

I live in St. Johns but my job is mobile and I am in that area several times a week. It is funny to think of chickens in such an urban area. You don't want your chickens to cross any of those roads!. Lol. They would never make it to the other side!

I know that the DE only has to be food grade not like the kind you put in pool filters, the difference is the size of the crystals. Food grade is milled to a dust. I use it for the coops, dog kennels, add it to the cat, chicken, and dog food, to help control internal parasites. Also use it topically on all of the above for fleas, ticks, mites, I dust the animals with it. Just make sure when you use it in runs, kennels, and coops to get all the damp dark areas that fleas ticks and mites like to hide. It was the only thing that worked when we got a case of the super fleas 2 years ago. Hope this info helps.
