I joined a couple of days ago.  I am originally from Plant City (Tampa area) and am moving back to the general area in a few months.  Are there many swaps or poultry auctions in the area?

Welcome!! There are a couple of swaps a month in Lakeland, one auction that I know of. I have heard there are some also in Plant City, just haven't found them yet. I know of a few more auctions, one in brooksville, and one in Santa fe.

On the 2nd Saturday of each month, Family Feed and Pet has a chicken swap. They're at 3669 Paul Buchman Hwy. I haven't been to it, so I'm not sure if it's good or not. There used to be a small animal auction on McIntosh Rd. in Thonotosassa, but I'm not sure if they still hold that one. I'll let you know if I hear any updates on it.

Hello! I am in the Lutz/Land O Lakes area and am looking for local chicken swaps and shows to attend. New Egger here and enjoying my little 3 week old peepers. I will be looking for a bantam roo in the late fall and would like to see what is out there. I have an assorted brood plus I have 3 little granddaughters who will be in the mix in my family so the roo breed will have to be a super sweet and friendly little guy. I currently have 1 each of Easter Egger, Buff Brahma bantam, Buff Silkie Bantam, Barred Rock, Blue Orpington, Golden Laced Wyandotte (hopefully that is what she is), Mottle Cochin bantam, and our mystery chick seems to be a White Sultan bantam (?).

I have a question, what do you central florida folks charge for started pullets, i have super blues and olive eggers that are at about 10 weeks?

I also still have my breeding pairs for sale, these are adult birds that are
already laying eggs.

Where are you? I looked up Homestead FL and it looks very south. My hubby will kill me but I was just thinking of adding a few layers with some colored eggs all I have are light brown egg layers and soon to have some white egg layers. I would love to buy some chicks. We are in Brevard.

well I have super blue egg layers right now 2 months old and also some olive eggers 2 months old. i am hatching some CCL in the next few of weeks too. and could
put in some marans eggs if dark brown was interesting to you

However; I am very far south, about 20 miles south of Miami so i would check on your logistics .
