FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

I'm going to give it a shot then! I'll rig some up and show you guys in the next day or so. Hopefully it works.

Hey everyone, I'm from Yulee here! I have quite a few chicks growing up but, I'm looking to hatch some eggs. Does anyone in the area have an incubator or broody hen I can buy? Or perhaps a suggestion for a broody breed?

I MAY have a broody hen you could have. She's a little ornery though. But if you let her go broody, she'll love you forever. I refuse to hatch anymore out anytime soon. How many eggs are you wanting to hatch? She's a bantam Cochin from my best guess. I have more that I'm willing to get rid of too. They all like to tag team a brood and share motherly duties.

Good Afternoon everyone,

I don't know if anyone would be interested, but wanted to put it out here. I created a website to list all the poultry breeders in Florida to make it easier to find what people are looking for. I've been getting quite a few visitors and inquiries for hatching eggs and different breeds. If you would like to take a look at it and let me know your thoughts it would be greatly appreciated. I know it's been helpful for some people looking for chickens. I do have a good number of breeders that have been added to the list, if you are on there and need your information updated I would like to do that too. I'll be sending emails to all the breeders to just that this week. The website is http://floridapoultrybd.weebly.com/

I'd like to get it out there more so it can be better utilized and add more features in the future. The internet has become the only way to find what you are looking for.

Thanks ahead for your input.

Hey, hope every one had a great 4th of July. I haven't posted in awhile but I have a question. For the last few months one of my 2 year old Delaware hens has been displaying all of the signs of wry neck, star gazing, moon walking etc but only at night if I have the light on in the coop, during the day she seems fine and displays no symptoms. They free range most of the day, free choice feed, grit, oyster shell. I have added raw ACV and supplemental vitamins and minerals periodically. She seems fine otherwise and lays regularly so I guess it's not really an issue but I was curious to know if any one else has had a similar experience. Yeah, I have the kind of luck that draws crazy things (and people) my way but it keeps me on my toes and I usually have a good story to tell at beer thirty.

FOUND BLACK AUSTRALORP HEN! NEEDS HOME! - South Florida, north of West Palm Beach.
So I was driving on the back road to work at 5 a.m. when I saw something in the center of the road. The area is wooded, pastures with cows, orchards, and homes far away. There is a school near the end of it and there is a wide yellow striped section in the center of the road near the school. I saw something lying in the yellow center and turned around. I opened my door and it was a black Australorp hen. It was just lying/squatting down. I picked it up with no problems and put it in the back of my car and drove home. It was very calm until I put it down on the back porch; then it ran around and squawked. I put it in a dog crate I had used for when I first got new hens. I put in food and water. It seemed okay but had a bit of blood on its little comb. I had actually seen it about a month ago in the grass on the side of the road; same chicken. The closest houses are way too far away for it to be on a slight wander.
I can’t keep it because my coop is too small for four chickens. I still haven't introduced the two new ones to my old one completely, and now my old one is going through a molt. I really want to find it a good home. I am willing to drive and meet you anywhere if you will give it a good home. Please send me a private message and let me know if you would like it.

Yesterday morning I saw a couple of Red Tailed hawks flying over my coops and pens. The hawks were being chased by some crows. I think it was a parent showing a youngster the chickens.

Hi! A young chicken (6-8 weeks- this is a guess) showed up at our doorstep (in East Hollywood, FL) just this Saturday. We are trying to find her a home with a chicken pet lover. Someone who will keep as a pet or layer but not for meat. She is a great chicken. Very sweet and super smart. But we don't know anything about raising chickens and our city does not allow keeping chickens- else we would keep her. So we need to find her a home. Do you know anyone who can take on a pet/layer chicken?

Thank you!
