FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

I work in Mariannna and live in Calhoun county. What breeds do you have. Ive contacted the people about NPIP certification. They are supposed to call me to schedule a visit. I think it will be helpful in selling and if I ever show. Santa brought me an incubator so wish me luck.
I don't know being NPIP certified will be that helpful when selling. Most people don't even know what it is and are mainly looking for layers. At least that has been my experience. I only have it because I show my birds at different shows and it is easier to just show my NPIP card when cooping in my birds for the shows. Good luck with you hatching. What kind of incubator did Santa bring you? If it is an LG there is a thread with a lot of good information with tips and tricks for good hatches. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/601352/little-giant-incubator-tricks Good luck and have fun...

My preschooler and I went to buy chick supplies today. One of the stores we stopped in has chicks and rabbits already and she didn't want to leave. She was most upset when I told her that none of the chicks would be coming home with us. "No get chicks?"

Our chicks are coming in two weeks. This was apparently an unacceptable answer. Poor thing.

Ours don't coming until March. The 5 year old is asking everyday and the 10 year old I working to prep the new coop and hopes that his girls will accept his new girls.

Are they all chicks. Integrating chicks is easier than older birds. If they are older birds there will some bickering until they establish their new pecking order with the new birds. Good luck and have fun...

We had issues with e the incubater this year and lost all 48. The kids were up set but not to bad. My oldest really does a lot of research and takes care of them for the most part. We ordered from a hatchery and not a local breeder because it we easier for me. Next time we will go local. They are all chicks. Hope everything goes well for you. I'll update you when ours arrive. He is building a new coop to make sure that they will have enough room. We are down to three losing one these past week to being egg bound.
