Hey yall I need some advice from my go to know alls...PLEASE

My Jeanie's gone broody for her first time and looks like she'll be spending tonight in her nest box...again. (2nd night) I got her feed and water set right by her and I been kicking the "teen agers" out of the hen house as much as possible to give her all the privacy I can but...she's not eating or drinking much unless I hand feed her or offer her the water bowl. She looks tuckered out tonight and she's panting a bit. Hardly left the nest box all day. Fact, she left the one time when I made her so she could poop. Am I worrying too much? She's my first broody hen, it's her first broody time and we just recently lost our Tippy. Seeing Jeanie go off her feed and water don't fill me up with fuzzy feeling, you know?

I had a broody that didn't want to get off her nest. I put her in a brooder box and every day I went out and took her off her nest for around 15/20 minutes each day so she could eat drink and poop. I blocked off the nest so she couldn't get on it for that time. As soon as I unblocked the nest she was back on it in a flash. All of the eggs hatched.
Here are a couple of my broody's.

This is the broody I had to take off of the nest every day or she would have starved herself to death sitting on her eggs.

I have no experience with these guys but others I know have and say they're good.

I don't know ANYBODY in FL who has Ameraucanas
Sawmill Chicken Farm in Live Oak Florida has very nice Ameraucanas and Marans. I just bought some from Sandcastle Farm in Aiken South Carolina. She has very nice Ams too. Go on the Ameraucana thread. Both farms have websites.

THANK YOU Cmon! I KNEW you'd answer, you're always our know it all! Kinda figure we'd have to do something like this but wanted to be sure I wasn't over reacting. OK, another building project for Will it is.
I'm not a know it all, It's that I have been in your shoes sort to speak. It's lessons from the school of hard knocks.
