FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

we used to go out that way to Legoland.... it's such a long drive from here
It is a long drive.. I used to dry to NY all the time and Jacksonville was my first stop, lol.. But I've been to the D.500, that's about halfway there, I think..

Lol, my grandchildren used to have yr 'round tickets to LeggoLand.. It's in Winter Haven, just up I-4 from me..

We recently had some renovations done on our house. We had to move everything out while the work was being done. Luckily we have apartment that we moved into. We are older people and hubby has Parkinson's so he has a balance problem and shaky. I did the prep work like covering all of the cabinets and appliances. There was a lot of cleanup afterwards. We just finally got the rest of the furniture back in the house so now we're somewhat back to normal. Always a to do list. The problem is it always seems to get bigger instead of smaller. :old

Chickies due to start hatching. First hatch.

Cmom, pls, we are neighbors, if you need anything or anything I can do, pls, pls let me know.. I'm retired, so I look for things to keep me occupied, k?

Question for you all.... you all know we have had some terrible heat (almost to the 100 degree mark here)...I have 2 polish hens (Laverne and Shirley) and this has been their first year laying... well...a few days ago they stopped. They eat, walk, cluck, etc like normal so I don't think they are egg bound... but they may also be in molt...Have any of yours stopped laying?

:welcome Mine haven't stopped but the past couple of days I have noticed I'm getting fewer eggs and some of my birds have started to molt and when they molt they generally slow way down or stop laying. They usually start the molt in August. It has been hot.

Thanks for the offer. We are retired too. I like to keep busy to. We are cleaning out the garden beds to get ready for fall planting. The weeds don't mind the heat. When I have let the birds out to free range they want to stay in their pens with their nice shade. I do have sprinklers I turn on to cool the sand. I have some pips too. The brooder is ready.

Mine haven't laid in a few days.. Could be the infernal heat we're going thru, can you blame them? Lol.. But I really don't know..

For anyone in our area, we do have a couple of good monthly farm swaps. Everyone is invited. We have good turnouts. More and more people are starting up swap meets. The Dunnellon TSC we have been having for about 10 years and our Rural King going on around 4 or 5 years. I need to make up some new fliers.

They have one every Saturday at 'Antioch Feed & Farm Supply', 12650 McIntosh Rd. Thonotossasa, Florida 33592 - (813) 986-5611.. I believe they start around 9:00 am till about 3:00 pm or when they are done.. Last time I went I was there till about 2:30 pm and it was still going strong.. However, it is more like an organized auction than anything else.. Almost all kinds of farm animals.. I saw some beautiful pics there..

We do swap meets for tropical fish, strictly fish, aquarium live plants and fish tank equipment..

Would be good if we can post here when anyone is going to one.. I wouldn't mind meeting and buying coffee for fellow members of BYC, so I will be posting if and when I'm going, in case anyone is going or wants to go..

We advertise 9 to 1 but most vendors are there between 7 and 8. We used to go to around 2pm but by that time in the summer, it is HOT out so we cut it back to 1pm. People can stay until later if they want but most are ready to go. Recently Rural King offered to let us to hold our monthly swaps weekly but for most people the monthly is better.
