Hey FL Chickens- Where are you located? I couldn't find you on the list, but I just skimmed it. I was thinking the other day about what I would do with my chickens during hurricane season, I figured a dog crate in the garage would have to do. Hopefully we won't have to worry about that too much this year, but its been a calm couple of years for us, and wehaven't had a big one in a long time.

Lake county Florida here! In a teeny tiny town called Umatilla. We actually have one traffic light AND a mcdonalds! Movin' on up!

6 chicks (no idea what breed they are, I am new to chickens!), 2 spoiled dogs, 3 rotten kids and a very tolerant husband! I think that he likes the chickens better than the kids.

My 8 year old daughter teases him about it and he tells her "Hey, they are happy when they see me and all they want is a treat! They don't whine or ask for money!"
