Hi everyone! I'm here in beautiful Naples with my small flock of 6 hens and 3 new chicks

Jessica there is a chance between both hatches someone will be a blue layer, won't know for sure till they start laying though.

Running IV fluids on one of our Goats tonight, he wasnt feeling well this weekend while we were building the duck flight pen, so I brought him upfront and kept him quiet in the shade with feed. Today he is very weak and dehydrated so IV it is. He gets to sleep on our back porch in an extra large dog kennel. We had a broody silkie in it, but she had to give up her spot for his care.

I have a ton of EE eggs if anyone wants blue egg layers. Most of mine lay a very pretty light turquoise blue, with a couple greens thrown in. Just PM me if you want a batch.

Hey Kelly yep he was just wormed recently on a 3 day treatment since we had such a wet spell. I am vet tech and hubby is a medic in the air force. This goat is "simple" in that he walks around with a cud wad in his cheek I am forever cleaning out. He is dehydrated so IV fluids were a priority along with a B injection again. Tomorrow has fresh hay and electolites in his water on his treatment list. A handfull of grain and some fresh greens (grass, clover) and to be kept quiet.

My little flock increased today by 2 Golden Lakenvelders and 2 Sicilian Buttercups. Not exactly my kind of eggs as I prefer colored, but these girls sure are beautiful. They are flyers so wings clipped as they were put into pen. So far no problem with the other girls. As pretty as they are I will still trade them for colored egg layers. Supposed to be about 1 3 /4 years old and friendly, but not the pick up and pet kind of friend.

Yeah, some started laying but not *all* of them yet! I suppose I'll change it then.
