great to have you joining the Florida list. Good luck with your new breeding project.

Jess, she is looking pretty for sure. I would guess girl so far too based on wing color. I will be ordering 2 sets of eggs to hatch to get Marans to raise from. Hubby is now fully on board with me expanding the hobby into a full farm business by next year.

Will have call ducks set up for breeding in 2 or 3 colors
African geese
Sebastopol geese (if I can find a boy for my girl)
Rouen ducks
Mandarin ducks
Silver wood ducks (if they get off their duff and do something this year)

Chickens:
Olive Eggers
Easter Eggers
Marans
Americana - Lav and split
Brown layers which I think I will not be adding to or replacing over time.
Maybe one other, feel like I am forgetting something

Oh and quail for meat and eggs and rabbits too lol

After giving it alot of thought, I am going to let go of my Mille Fleur d'Uccles. They have placed very well at sanctioned shows that they have been shown in. I need more room for my silkies or I wouldn't be selling them..I have a rooster, cockerel and 5 hens for $225.00. I also have 15-20 chicks that are $6.00 each. Thought I would offer them to someone in Florida so there will be no shipping involved. Anyone who knows me, knows that I have shown these birds as well as my silkies. Sometimes you need more room!! The price is firm, as I have priced them accordingly with their quality..Here's some pics:

Please PM me if interested...

You can add me to the Fl list. We live near Dade City. I was wondering if poultry keepers in Florida would be interested in a custom milled feed 18% pellet that had Alfalfa Meal, Fish Meal, Flax Meal and whole oats in the mixture. Something other than just soy for protein. Would you be willing to pay $20.00 a bag to have it delivered to your area?

Depends on how many pounds I was getting in that $20 bag. Personally, I need to economize on my chicken's feed, and will not spend more for any extras. And I have a feed store that's conveniently located nearby where I already go into town and now right on my way to where my church built their new worship center. So I wouldn't pay any extra for delivery either. Sorry, I bet that wasn't what you hoped to hear, maybe others will have a very different opinion.
