My Embden goslings are ready to be sold, please contact me if you're interested. I have what seems to be a boy/girl pair, asking $50 for both. We're in western West Palm Beach, too far to make it up to the swap.

Look how big they've grown in 3 weeks!

Hey Floridians. I have a friend looking for a goose that's totally.... how can we say... processed!? Ready for the oven. Can I say that here? Cover your birdies pretty little eyes so they don't read that. Anyway, if anyone knows of a good source, please LMK. Thanks!

well my mom said shes not going to mainly base the business on selling chicken eggs cause it cost more money than anything to feed them and we are loosing out on money since we sell $2 a dz when i could sell baby chicks for that price and make $100 on 50 chicks and then $100 on 10 laying hens and $50 for 10 roosters

is that including the # you would spend on feed for the hens and roo's? wont be all that much but it would take from your profits...I would think...

$2 a dozen is really cheap! Around where I live I know there are people that charge $3.50-5.00 and get that without an issue. What about chicks that you don't sell right away? Won't it cost a lot to feed those?

I figured out once that if I charge $3 a dozen and the girls are laying well, I can at least break even on the feed (not including what I, myself, don't spend on eggs at the store for my own family).

my tiny flock of 6 laying hens sell their eggs to feed store for $2.50 doz and pay for all their own food, scratch as well as wild bird seed. Their money jar always has a few dollars..... During the summer we are feeding a family of 5 and still sell a couple doz eggs a week.
