FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Wow, did you just double the size of your flock or is it my imagination? Definitely addicted...don't worry, you're in good company: we got two more today, but my daughters snuck them in the bedroom window so my husband wouldn't find out! I like EE's and Austrolorp because they're big, sturdy hens that lay well, but they're very gentle - great for being toted around by kids. We have two Austrolorp and three EE's. It's always fun to give people the blue eggs!

Lisa, hahahaha yes we did! We started w/ for mix breeds that I still don't know what they are when I joined the site, then got the 3 silkies from Dianne, & then between Thursday to today we got 7 more!!! (A blue silkie pullet, a Japanese bantam cross, & the ones I just posted the pics of!) What did ya'll get today?!

Awww...cute grandkids. Three boys? How'd you manage that? I used to "offer" to trade one of my girls for a boy, but now they've turned out so great I don't use that joke anymore!

I agree the price of feed (hay too) is close to outrageous these days. I save every suitable scrap of food from my kitchen to supplement the grain. My flock gets so excited when they see me coming with the treat bucket: sweet potato peels, left over mashed potatoes, mushy berries, scrambled eggs, spinach, sprouts, and of course old bread!

$8 is a good price - Juan should hurry up before they're all sold:)

I agree, cute grandkids!! My oldest is excited for your swap now too asking if they are going to be there! lol... How old are they?

&& Lisa I still joke about trying to trade one of my 3 sons for a girl! lol... A very good friend of mine had a daughter a few days after our 7 month old was born & I joke all the time w/ her about how I'm gonna switch them while we are on a playdate.
