Thanks! It's a good peace of mind to have the medicines on hand, and just hope you never need them.
Last night I decided to put some more chicken eggs under the broody Muscovy, since Almond Joy died and the last two eggs weren't hatching. I gave the momma food, and pulled some banana leaves down so she'd be extra hidden in the compost bin where she was nesting. This morning she's gone without a trace, the nest is scattered, and some of the eggs are broken/eaten. Poor duck - she was our most beautiful Muscovy, and only setting because I selfishly wanted to replace Almond Joy...otherwise she would have been out on the lake with the others. I feel pretty angry and sick about it. I didn't have the trap set last night, because I was exhausted, and we haven't had any luck with it anyway. I'm starting to think fox, because I think raccoons leave more evidence (like body parts). Other than that shock, everything is fine and healthy. I may have to invest in a good critter cam.

Wow, I am so sorry to hear that. I'm glad that the rest of your flock is still ok. I hope that they stay healthy!! I am looking into getting all the different kinds of medicines that I could need now that our flock is growing & I am so attached to all of them. I am glad that you found a few silkie babies to keep your other chick company. Good luck!
