Thank you, love the geese to bits. I need to go out and record video of how I am greeted now a days. It's oh so very loud! Fortunate the neighbors are tollerant so far.

Wonder how they will like the peafowl when they get older.

They are doing FANTASTIC! Last night they saw me come out and they headed right for their stall. The baby waited at the door and when I went in with their food and water she joined me and the other two. They got to meet Mr Spoonbill yesterday when he landed in the yard. They didn't know how to take him dropping in from above, but quickly figured out he was harmless.

YAY My computer is fixed! Had to replace the screen on my laptop arrgh.
Code enforcement came out yesterday to make sure chickens, coop and construction materials were gone

she even looked back in woods and took photos (like I am stupid enough to try to hide them back there) then wanted to see inside my garage!

When they came to Dianna's place they even accused her of moving her chickens to someone elses house (and asked for the address of where they went to) so she could get them back later! The nerve of those people!! They were monitoring our Facebook page " Backyard Chickens of Lehigh, Florida" and some people were joking around that we would keep em chasing our chickens all over the county.

When they asked me where my chickens were..I said Okeechobee! and almost said a rude word.....
On a lighter note..I am looking at 5 acres out in Muse which is north of Labelle a bit... Short sale but NICE oak trees and fenced. In Glades county. I dont think they even have code enforcment out there

There is already a couple of cows on the property, I don't know who they belong too. Pray the sale goes through.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear. I'm really annoyed to hear about this & next time they bug you, please call my husband. He's an attorney & he deals with nasty HOAs & the like... even just government code enforcement. I know you were trying to be nice, but honestly, to me.... and I'm no one with expertise, it sounds like they took it too far. You had ever right (in my mind) to be rude to them. You had pets, you cared for them, you should be annoyed they made you get rid of them... not bending to their every desire to poke around.

My hubby would at least be able to rec an attorney over near you, if he couldn't help. I wish you luck in finding new digs if that's what you want... LaBelle has some gorgeous land! Love the oaks. Recently left Fort Myers... & we lived in a high rise on 1st street... so no, we weren't trying to sneak chickens past our concierge in the lobby

Star, Sparkle, & Comet are doing great! Star has claimed "top of pecking order", even over my adult laying hens; && Comet rules the roost! (Literally, lol... every time I am out there he does his "look at me" dance & will crow at my hubby if he gets to close to me. hahahha) Take care!

Yeah REALLY! How many kids have been eaten by pit bulls kept by irrisponsible owners (nothing against Pits..I have met many nice ones) this past couple of years...and toddlers killed by boa constrictors...I shudder to think about it.
I am SO happy to hear the silkie crew are doing well! Like I said..make sure Comet behaves himself and not get too dominant on ya

when I learned they had been sitting around on street corners monitoring our facebook page with their laptops...what a waste of taxpayers $ eh? We are having another "chicken meeting" tonight to make plans for the next commissioners meeting. The one commissioner who was on our side to begin with called Dianna and told her that after commissioner Mann's behavour during the last meeting (shooting us and him, down) he is even more determined to get chickens allowed in Lee county.
