FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

New girls are so tiny next to my fat Dominques. RIR's, Wobble and my Maran Shimmer, it is hard to believe they are 4 months old. Were mine eve that small? Everyone pu themselves to be nicely, so far not much "pecking order" going on. Big girls leaving little girls alone.

Shellie no eggs from EE's today.................way too much excitment. The Lavs are the most timid and the OE's the most adventuresome.

Found a really cute chicken qilt pattern, may try to make a small lap quilt for DGD Erin as she loves these chickens so much, she already has twin uilt with rooster and chicks on the borders I made.

I have 3 of these girls and 2 just started to lay eggs

I've got marans and would be delighted if you wanted to hatch some to use as olive eggers. I started off in chickens 2 years ago and my number one WANT was Easter eggers. I just got some ameracuanas so that I could add to my colored egg basket. I am trying to breed my marans to the SOP, but the beautiful colored egg basket is what started me in this hobby.

All I worry about when I sell my birds is what kind of home you are going to provide for them..... What ever breeding projects you want to do is your business as long as my babies are well taken care of!

OBTW - - this is my girls' egg color... The bottom egg is a splash marans. The other two are black copper marans.

Yes, they are from the same batch. Looking forward to seeing how they grow out and their egg color.

Jess, yep will be setting the new OE eggs this weekend. Son is using them as part of his science research project for school. So will be setting OE, BCM, maybe some EE, and most likely more Wheaten & Lav Ameracuana eggs as part of his project.

About to ship off more Call ducks and maybe a couple of Roos too. Then time to clear the sale pen and resod it. As Carol saw we are way under water, so it is a wait and wait some more time for the second pasture fencing to go up. However I think we will start on the front fence while the ground is water logged. Then the geese can be out front near the driveway.

Lots of clean up today while the baby naps, no need to mow since most is under water, lol.

You have great color base in those eggs. Thank you for understanding the want for olives, I think the dark olives are very pretty.

Shellie you may have had way too much water, but I saw a lot of happy ducks and geese swimming around your yard.

Little girls seem to be happy and fine this morning, They still run away every time one of us comes near them, however. The Lavanders are so much more timid than the others, they stick close to each other and don't venture far from the food.

Jennifer, so our girls really are sisters.

Every time I am peeling vegetables or have left overs from dinner I think of Angel, Comet, Star and Sparkle. Especially last night I was making stuffed tomatoes and had leftover tomato "guts" they all went nuts over tomato and watermelon and cantalope guts

I want my 5 acre farm NOW! hurry up bank!

Does anyone have any nice bantam Cochins and/or Silkies? A friend of mine has kids that are wanting to show for 4H this year. They would prefer pullets/hens, but wouldn't mind 1 or 2 nice roosters. Let me know if you've got anything!
